3,4 & 5’s Preschool Half-Day Program
Harmony Preschool currently has one class of 14 students with two teachers operating Monday-Thursday, 9 AM-1 PM. We primarily follow the West Linn/Wilsonville School District schedule.
Program Details
Harmony Preschool uses an emergent curriculum that allows children’s interests to guide in-depth projects and learning experiences. This approach encourages collaboration as students work together through dialogue, comparison, negotiation, and mutual respect. Building a strong sense of community—both inside and outside the classroom—is a core value supported throughout the school year. Our low student-to-teacher ratio allows for meaningful individual attention, helping each child have a positive and enriching early childhood experience.
Harmony Preschool is focused on kindergarten readiness and follows the Oregon Early Learning and Kindergarten Guidelines to ensure every graduating student is well prepared for this next step.
Our classroom environment is Reggio Emilia–inspired, with a flexible, hands-on, and largely interest-based curriculum that supports curiosity, creativity, and exploration.
Students must be fully independent in the bathroom.
Students are asked to bring a cold lunch each day. A healthy snack is provided by Harmony Preschool.
Enrichment Activities
Included in tuition are weekly enrichment classes: Yoga & Mindfulness, Music Class, and Spanish lessons. Cooking Club, gymnastics, Kidokinetics, community visitors (goats, firefighters, …) and special art classes with local artists occur monthly. Rebecca is a certified kid’s yoga teacher and gives lessons on yoga and mindfulness techniques and integrates student interests into fun, imaginary yoga adventures. Beginner Spanish is incorporated into daily lessons and includes colors, counting, animal names and more. Music Class helps students develop and fine tune their motor skills and body control through songs and movement. Students are introduced to rhythm, pitch, dynamics, keeping a beat with rhythm sticks, and more. Harmony Preschool partners with local artists to provide exposure to mediums from pottery to water-colors. Monthly Cooking Club creates budding chefs as students prepare a delicious crockpot dinner, dessert, or snack for their family. Harmony Preschool will add enrichment activities throughout the year based on the interests of the students. Harmony Preschool is excited to partner with local small businesses Jump Start Mobile Gymnastics and Kidokinetics to deliver weekly physical education classes for students.
